Enjoy Goa Monsoons

Goa has it's own charm during monsoons. The Hirve waterfalls in North Goa is a wonderful .....

place to take a hike up the mountains for those who love mother nature. The one and a half hour drive from Mapusa, roughly 65 km,  is pleasant as the  road  takes you through narrow lanes dotted with traditional Goan houses flanked on both sides of the street to keep your camera shutters clattering all along the way.
The open market at Asnora and Bicholim adds to the monsoon thrill as you will find food stuff to live stock being sold in the open market, reviving the good old days.
In monsoons the hotel rates are reasonably priced in Goa and hence it's ideal for families and couples seeking a cozy and rich green holiday spot.
The food to indulge is vegetarian as it's healthy and easily available, but for fish eaters there is no stopping inspite of monsoons and the fishing ban in place; as most of the restaurants in Goa, will serve a traditional Goan fish curry rice dish despite the hardships; as Goans, love their fish curry rice which is the staple food of this once upon a time Portuguese colony.
Visit Goa by the rail as the train chugs along the lush green mountains, one can also experience the cool water spray of the chilling waterfalls along the Maharashtra-Goa  Konkan railway track. So grab your bags and head for the one best spot in the world GOA!
